Congrats on the First Ager – been working on one myself. Rather than spend all the marks/meds on scrolls, check the Quartermaster (Relic) in Dol Amroth. 40 silver / 10 gold coins gets you a scroll of delving; 30 silver / 10 gold get you a scroll of empowerment. Maybe a little better bargain…

Good episode Braag. The Duality of Gaming topic is quite interesting, personally though I’m still at the young age where I’m expected to do ‘stupid time-wasting’ things. I tend not to worry about perceptions of me as a gamer, although naturally I also don’t make it a front-and-center defining trait. For example with relevant job applications I will use my participation on the LOTRO Players site as ‘helping to manage a news-based website, by writing articles and finding sources of information’. The fact that many people are still (shall we say) uptight about the ‘gaming culture’ means it’s just simpler not to mention the little detail of said news being gaming related unless I am asked to.
